Etledyne Organic Synthetics are one of the most cost-effective ways to supply private parties with drone labor. The artificially created bodies are custom tailored for the tasks at hand, and can manage a variety of roles, including waste-disposal, manufacturing, office work, combat, and even housekeeping and child-care duties.
Being cybernetic organisms, they use integrated electronics in concert with their synthetic bodies. Some models use rechargeable batteries while other more independent models actually consume food to convert to energy. Usually these are the military models, where power sources may not be so readily available.
This particular model, the EOS-s is designed for private armies and security. The chitinous armor plating that grows off of the body is equipped with several modular slots where additional equipment like radar, shields, rockets, or extra armor may be placed. However, usually soldiers opt to "dress them up" with their own military's items, (such as the ammo bags and satchels placed on the EOS-s drawn) rather than buy the parts from Etledyne.
Dress them up...hmmm......: Overseer of EOS-s uniform: "I'm gona make them blue, with red racing stripes- yeah! So they'll go faster! Then I'll give them a cool mohawk, with skulls on the top, also some chains and spikes all over! Maybe they like My Little Pony...."
Yeah! Sniper1: "-throws unhealthy snack into mouth while sniping the EOS-s-" Sniper2: "How many have you killed?" Sniper1: "I....don't know, but can you hand me a napkin? I've got cheese dust all over my fingers and it's going to make my gun all sticky."
I have to say that the EOS-s design truly gives it the sense of being an organic being, almost insectoid in form, very befitting for a drone type worker.
I really really like the head too!
Thank you Zaeta-K for bringing us such an intricately detailed and dynamically delivered piece on which for our eyes to feast.
