The second half of a sketch commission I got for someone who was to be designing miniatures for their own tabletop game. I don't know what happened to the project as the person in question suddenly dropped out of all contact, so I thought I would share this design because I liked it a lot, even if it is a bit rough.

It's too bad, it was a fun project while it lasted, and I was looking forward to having a sample piece to see something I made in model form. At least it earned me a bit of do$h and some design experimentation :)

Those are a LOT of engines! What is this anyways, a space-borne combat mech or something? I can definitely see the utility of have a shitload of engines if you're gonna be EVA maneuvering in a zero-gravity environment.

Yes, it was designed for a race that primarily used mecha while everyone else was using vehicles more akin to fighter craft in space battles. The armor has the ability to transform from a "boarding" enemy ships mode to a "fighter" mode.

Fascinating...

I don't see any weapons on it though. How's it supposed to hold it's own against enemy fighters, ships or vehicles? Does it perhaps use handheld weapons with its manipulator arms or something? Not the most practical way to go about arming a robot, but it's an awesome one.

I believe the arms swapped out for weapons, or weapons were attached to the arms, but it didn't "hold" them.
