The odds of surviving an attack by the insanely well-trained and equipped vesuthan soldier is about one in ten.
While the soldier pictured only wields a forearm blade, it's not the unit's only weapon. Although being both incredibly destructive and key part of a vesuthan's arsenal, the forerarm blades are usually only used by stealth teams, or on an opponent who the soldier deems worthy to die by the concentrated plasma edge.
The only vesuthan weapons to be found by GEMeni and ARC forces appear inoperable, as if the weapons shut themselves down upon a soldier's death. While in action, however, the various rifles, pistols, and long range sniper weapons have proven to be even superior to the maralyn's weapons- which in the past were the best quality weapons known to Tempesion space.
The weapons are assumed to be projected-energy based, since the vesuthans seen using them have virtually no recoil. Additionally, even on the slowest of video footage, no projectile has even been seen actually leaving the weapon when it is fired.
Upon examination of those KIA by vesuthan weapons, it was found that the wounds are perfectly spherical in shape, as if the hypothetical projectiles "erase" spherical portions from the surface of target. Sphere sizes have been known to range from golf balls to basket balls, and in the case of heavy weapons, boulders.
It's unknown where the vesuthans originate from, or why their equipment, vehicles, and even body structure resembles that of the Sequesters.
It is known, however, that the vesuthans seem to loath the Tempesion races as much as the Sequesters for causing the Aftermath. Their rage is quiet and calculating, and could even be said to have been organized into a type of religion.
